Modern Vintage Glam!

The SAG awards were on Sunday which means a plethora of celebrity hair inspiration's. Michelle Williams is short hair perfection. She looks gorgeous and is the perfect example that short hair can still look feminine and sexy.
1. Spray Prep and Styling Lotion all over damp hair. Blow dry using your fingers smoothing your hair down on the sides and push the hair forward on top.
2. Rub a little bit of Styling Wax through your fingers and smooth through hair styling as you go. Easy as that!

Have a shiny New Year!

Whew!

We made it through another Holiday season, and the beginning of a New Year.

What's on your resolution list this year? A better diet? Working out more? Volunteering or giving back?
Let's serve up a simple one - make your hair the very healthiest it can be!

Not only is this an easy one to check off the list, you are also going to feel great starting out with a realistic goal that you can achieve quickly. Now, that's a way to start the New Years!

Resolve to Be Simple and Shiny...
by Cami Fisher

... we're talking HAIR styles here, of course!

If all the hustle and bustle of the letdown after holiday season has left you a little less than "jolly and bright" - this may be the perfect time to liven and brighten those locks!

Adding a little style and shine to your hair may be just enough motivation to get every other resolution in order for you this year!

The 2012 hair forecast is still leaning towards simple and healthy. However, many of us have a hard time making simple and healthy going hand-in-hand. Let's make this easy: start by having a great clarifier like Bb's Sunday. Like the name suggests, it's only needed once every 1-2 weeks depending on your everyday hair routine; plus, it's a great way to remove all build up of old product.

Next, follow up with a lightweight shine and moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. My personal favorite is Bb's "Shine" shampoo and conditioner.

Lastly, finish your clean and shiny look with one of the many simple styles we will be seeing in all the latest catwalks and magazines: ponytails, braids, buns, or my favorite - the side bun!

Let this year's resolutions begin with all things simple and shiny!!!

Hair Trends in 2012

With a New Year here, all of our clients are asking about what's new in hair trends. Thought it would be fun to share some of the new looks with everyone.  2012, hair is all about revivals and evolution. With styles and colours we’re seeing the best of 2011 reborn, whereas cuts are offering reworked and luxurious revivals of styles that sit perfectly with the year’s clothing trends.

Below are a few of the trends that we have been noticing.

Long & bouncy

Described as a gorgeous blow-out the bouncy blow dry gives long hair a groomed, elegant yet relaxed finish. Inspired, in part, by the 70s fashion revival but working across most of 2012′s looks, you can can come in and have one of our talented staff do a Bumble and Bumble Blow out on you it can last up to a week! This bouncy blow dry ensures that you have the optimum bounce in the roots and the soft waves to frame your face.

French twist

Given that classic fashion revivals define 2012, it should come as no surprised to find that classic hairstyles also go a long way to defining the year. Equally of no surprise is the fact that the French Twist will be big this year.  Love the classic look of this!

Mod bob

Short. Voluminous. Messy. This is the 2012 women’s hairstyle that marries a short hair cut with the best of the 1960s fashion revival to create the Mod Bob
that’s been inspired by the likes of Brigitte Bardot and Twiggy. So Cute!

Believe it or not Gray! Yes Gray!

Probably one of the most surprising colors that we are seeing is gray. Believe it or not, women are seeing this once dreaded shade through a whole new set of eyes. One of the hottest trends is “Gray lights” and white/gray bases. These colors have become very popular with affluent trendsetters and models and the movement is beginning to trickle down to the average person. Pop singer Pink and model Kate Moss are just two of the many women that are trying out this new look and loving it.

Hope you enjoyed our 2012 preview.  We will be sharing more soon.  Just wanted to show you some of our favorites!
Happy New Year!
